Confusion about who Jesus is leads people to admire Him, reject Him, or settle for a version of Him that cannot save. John 5 reveals that Jesus is fully God, worthy of worship, and the only One who gives eternal life to everyone who believes in Him.
Who is Jesus, really?
In John 5:16-30, Jesus makes some of the boldest claims in all of Scripture. He declares that He is equal with the Father, does what only God can do, exercises God's authority, deserves the honor that belongs to God alone, and offers the eternal life that only God can give.
This message challenges us to move beyond simply respecting Jesus and calls us to worship Him as Lord. The answer to the question, "Who is this man?" determines how we respond to Him, both now and for eternity.
